At Smart Start Early Learning Center, we will provide a SAFE, nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment for every child, with emphasis on the DEVELOPMENT of social skills, POSITIVE self-esteem and positive attitude, while teaching the necessary SKILLS to prepare your child for SUCCESS!

The staff at Smart Start Early Learning Center recognize that the early years are important years that we share with you and your child. Our staff is dedicated to providing a developmentally appropriate program, focusing on the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth of your child in order to achieve the following goals:

• Treat every child with love and respect and teach them to love and respect others
• Encourage a positive attitude about oneself and about learning
• Develop social skills
• Encourage cognitive development through thinking, reasoning, and experimenting
• Encourage literacy and language development
• Enhance physical development and skills
• And, finally, to do all of this at an affordable price

We use the Bible, not our opinions, when answering children’s questions about God. We teach character blocks, for example: love, honesty, confidence, and giving. We say a small prayer before snack every day. We also have chapel time with Pastor Alicia and other Exodus Church Pastors/Staff. 

Smart Start Early Learning Center opened its doors in June 2009, in Longview, WA. A once two-classroom facility now has grown to maxing out its Longview space of three classrooms and four different program options for preschool/pre-k and half-day kindergarten learners. Additionally, in the fall of 2022, Smart Start partnered with Toutle Christian Fellowship to offer preschool/pre-k classes at our Toutle site. Smart Start ELC strives to meet the early childhood needs our community has and provide quality education to the youngest learners in our community. Smart Start ELC serves children in Longview, Kelso, Cathlamet, Castle Rock, Toutle, Kalama, WA and Rainer and Clatskanie, OR. Smart Start Early Learning Center is a place for children ages 30 months to kindergarten, and building strong foundations is our goal!
